POSITION OVERVIEW
Gantry is seeking a Real Estate Loan Closer based in our Portland office. Working within a team environment, the candidate must be flexible, cooperative, and exhibit a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. Our ideal candidate must also have sound writing and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage commercial real estate loan closings for all production offices in a professional and organized manner
Serve as the primary point of contact for all closing-related activities between Gantry’s producers, analysts, servicing team, lenders, borrowers, attorneys, title and escrow agents, and third-party vendors
Analyze third-party reports and legal documents with written recommendations to our national lenders
Ability to draft tenant documents such as Estoppels and Subordinations while comfortable with rent rolls and leases
Coordinate and verify satisfaction of all closing conditions and due diligence with borrowers, lenders, and other commercial real estate professionals
Diplomatically work with a range of lenders with different closing requirements
Maintain accurate and complete electronic checklists, database records and closing files for audit and compliance purposes
Coordinate with Loan Servicing on loan boarding, insurance, and escrows for post-closing
Participate with an established Senior Closing Team in managing client relationships and determining best practices throughout the organization
SKILLS
Strong understanding of commercial real estate loans, documentation, and closing procedures
Previous experience and expertise in using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat are essential
Independent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively
Ability to follow through with instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced internet research capabilities
College degree required and 1+ years applicable work experience preferred. Related experience in property management, escrow or legal would be beneficial
