Peter Welsh is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Ohio, holding a BA in Finance and Accounting. He also received a MBA in Finance from Boston University and a Professional Designation in Investment Real Estate from the University of California, Irvine. He is a licensed broker with the California Department of Real Estate.
Peter’s career in the commercial real estate finance field began with Union Bank where he ran the Orange County Mortgage Investment Department and was a Vice President in the Construction Loan Department. Thereafter he became Executive Vice President of Churchill Mortgage Corporation and Co-Founder of Churchill Mortgage of Arizona, Inc. Peter is a past chairman of the Commercial Division of the California Mortgage Bankers Association.
In 2004, Peter joined Gantry as one of the founding Principals of the El Segundo office. In his 40+ year career in the commercial real estate financing industry Peter has been involved with the closing of $10BB in financing for some of the industry’s largest investors and developers. Peter continues to split his time between Gantry’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices.
He has also served as the board secretary of the Los Angeles chapter of The American Liver Foundation and was previously active on the Finance Committee of the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, CA. He is a board member and community partner of the Orange County Human Relations Commission and is a member of the Financial Advisory Board for the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta.
